Bellani Cafe & Restaurant
315 Church St, Parramatta

This place is one of my favourite places to hang in Parramatta. (It also happens to be one of the five places in the area where the staff completely recognise EvilHayama and I every time we walk in, but that's beside the point.) Since the local football team seem to have made it into the semifinals tonight (my reliable source being a drunk walking past while we ate), the northern end of Church Street was unbelievably packed and Bellani was no exception.

It's a favourite with us for a reason - good service, good food and decent pricing. While they're equal to a city cafe as far as prices go on some things, you'll find the city cafe food is absolutely crap in comparison. Tonight we had herb bread, a pineapple juice and a cappucino each, avocado chicken and veal schnitzel for dinner and strawberries and cream for dessert. Food was pretty good, coffee was a bit burnt (3 sugars for each of us). Hayama's pointed out to me that his chips were better than he's ever really had, but that balances out my slightly crappy potatoes. Aw well, they were pretty busy tonight anyway.

Banana Up & Go

Banana-flavoured milk is a wonderful thing, really it is. If you don't read the ingredients label and try not to think about the fact that Sanitarium made it, it's pretty easy to drink quickly and forget that there's actually breakfast cereal in the milk. The fat bendy straw helps too. :3

And of course, the best thing about it is that I can have breakfast in the car on the way to work (I hate mornings).

Thai Son Hot Bread
Shop 2, 3 Hillcrest Rd, Pennant Hills

If you don't like onions, don't eat their cheese and bacon pies - talk about misleading advertising. Yeeeurgh. Maybe I'll risk something else another time.
